Under the framework of the participation of LIFE Biodelear project in the IOBC/WPRS Meeting on Citrus Pests, Diseases and Weeds in Valencia, Spain, the coordinator of UTH Prof Nikos Papadopoulos visited the Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Agrarias (IVIA) and presented the projects to its scientists.
LIFE Biodelear project participated in the IOBC/WPRS Meeting on Citrus Pests, Diseases and Weeds, on the 25th to the 27th of September 2017 in Valencia, Spain.

This international meeting intended to promote discussion on the major issues and research priorities for further development and spread of citrus Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs in Mediterranean countries.
During the conference, several aspects of IPM in citrus in relation to arthropod pests, pathogens and weeds were covered, with its main scientific sessions to be those of:
• Citrus pest management
• Biocontrol strategies and methods
• Citrus diseases and weeds

The strategy, the evolution and the goals of LIFE-BIODELEAR were published in DEMETER magazine, Issue 17, January-March 2017.
Life-Biodelear in the “Third FAO/IAEA International Conference on Area-Wide Management of Insect Pests: Integrating the Sterile Insect and Related Nuclear and Other Techniques”
Life-Biodelear project participated in the “Third FAO/IAEA International Conference on Area-Wide Management of Insect Pests: Integrating the Sterile Insect and Related Nuclear and Other Techniques”, which was carried out on 22-26 May 2017 in Vienna, Austria. The title of the presentation was «An environmental friendly new attractant (BIODELEAR) for the mass trapping of Ceratitis capitata».
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Natura 2000 and LIFE, LIFE-ΒIODELEAR participated on the 18th of May 2017 to the Green Fund's and Greek LIFE Task Force workshop.
There was an exhibition stand of the project, as well as delegates of LIFE-BIODELEAR project team.

The 3rdworkshop of Life-Biodelear project was successfully held in the 21 of April 2017 in Hotel Amalia, Nauplio.
Representatives of the government, the Deputy Mr Andrianos and local authorities, the Vice Prefect of Argolis Mr Chividopoulos Tassos, agronomists, members of the agricultural cooperatives of citrus growers of Argolis, farmers and citizens from the whole region of Peloponesse participated in the workshop.
Life-Biodelear project was presented in “63th Florist Exhibition in Kifissia”, from the 27th of April to the 14th of May 2017 in Kifissia Athens.
Benaki Phytopathological Institute was one of the exhibitors. Posters of Life-Biodelear were included in its stand and leaflets of the project were distributed among exhibitors.
The project started on June 1st 2014 and was completed on October 25th 2019
